Swifty: Learn to code tutorials for Swift App Reviews

For the past few weeks Ive been using Swifty everyday in my spare time as the app suggests. For a total beginner but technological enthusiast I was drawn in by the fun smooth User Interface (how you interact with the app). It was amazing to be able to learn a coding language on my smartphone. This is one of the most amazing apps Ive ever downloaded.

If this were free it would be maybe four stars. But paying $2.99 for this was a huge mistake. The lessons are extremely basic, teaching almost nothing to somebody who has a basic knowledge of any other programming language. Not to mention, all the information is available free on Swifts website. I love the way the app teaches, but it needs 10x the content in order to be worth $2.99

This is a perfect app for teaching and reviewing Swift. I wish I could learn everything in such a refreshing way. Great job guys.

If you want to create a game that is worth millions of dollars, than this is they app for you. It is by far the best beginners coding app out there.

As a teacher looking to begin coding, I am very impressed with how well sequenced the lessons in this app are. Additionally, the entire app has been crafted with a great aesthetic and attention to detail. Bravo!

I recently graduated with a masters in information systems and began my job hunt. The problem is I want to get into software development but it has been 6 years since I took C++ and Java in undergrad. This means I kept failing interview questions because it has just been too long since I took programming courses! I decided to stop my job search for a little while and buckle down and learn Swift since Id like to focus on iOS development. This app is great! Some of the initial tutorials are worded in a way that would be a little confusing to someone without any coding background. Other than that Im loving that the quizzes are multiple choice, it makes it a lot easier than trying to remember everything exactly at the beginning. My only suggestion would be to offer a "back button" so you can navigate to the previous lesson without having to go back to the lesson page. Great job with this app! I never review (nothing peaks my interest enough) but this app definitely deserves more recognition! I started with apples tutorial and Xcode but I may just use this app to really get familiar then do the apple tutorial. Love it!

This course is build in a very simple language. The step by step learning helps you understand each and every corner of Swift Programming. I know C, C++ and hence I was able to correlate syntaxes easily for Swift. Excellent UI and fun to learn. I wish someday there is a Swift compiler that gets added.

Helped me learn a lot while flying

This app is great and all until they start charging you for every chapter. It was a "free" download but certainly not a free app. Next!

A lot of the beginning examples are worded confusingly. They also dont really let you code anything its just clicking yes or no really. But, despite all that it gives absolutely no theory as to why youd use any of the things they are trying to teach. At least one real world example from each section would be way more beneficial to the understanding than a few text questions at the end. Disappointed with this one.

App was really fun. I enjoyed stepping through and learning a bunch about Swift. I hope theres a sequel!

Im french, and im not really really good in English, but it very good understandable ! I made the 4 first levels and I understand everything, better than a French tutorial ! The only thing you can change in your app is : per example, if I am in the Arrays level and I want to change level, I press the Back button but I find my self on the first level, "Swift Basics" ! Can you modify this to be on the level that we left ? But a really good app to learn Swift !
